In Fiat Powertrain Technologies, dynamism and technology are represented by FPT RACING, a team of engineers working on design, test, development and production of:

• Racing engines, for both the Fiat Group official sport activities and for support to private pilots, in all the application sectors where FPT is present
  
• Performance kits to upgrade gasoline and diesel powertrains
  
• Special engines for limited series

Since 2008, FPT Racing is official supplier for the Formula 3 Italian Championship with its 420F3 engine: with a maximum power of 220 hp (162 kW) at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 240 Nm at 5750 rpm, the engine ensures top level performances thanks to the adoption of several specifically developed components.

FPT Racing also supplies the engines assembled on the Grande Punto Abarth S2000 cars competing and winning in the rallies championships all over Europe.

Besides the automotive sector, FPT is also present in the world of marine competitions. Equipped with the N60 480, the boat Blue FPT of FB Design shipyard won the 2008 edition of the “Round Britain Powerboat Race 2008”, the longest off-shore competition in the world. Always in 2008, FB Design and FPT won the Torquay-Cowes-Torquay race with the boat Red FPT, equipped with a N67 600 Evolution engine.
